FAQs
What days of the week is the market open?
Tuna Harbor Dockside Market operates every Saturday rain or shine, from 8 in the morning to 2 in the afternoon or until sold out. During the week, we are closed and the fishermen are out to sea.
Do we deliver?
Tuna Harbor Dockside Market does not currently deliver. To get fresh fish, you attend the Saturday market from 8 AM-2PM or until sold out, or you can order online for Saturday curbside pickup.
Can I pay with cash or card?
Some vendors will accept both card and cash payments, however, there are a few vendors that will only accept cash.
Is there salmon?
We only carry species that are local to San Diego Waters. Salmon, oysters, mussels, trout, etc. are not local, or wild caught seafood. Our species rotate with seasonal availability. Unlike a grocery store, our list is subject to change weekly. Salmon will be available at the market seasonably as some of our fishermen travel up and down the coast to fish different species.
How does online ordering work?
The online store is active every Thursday at 5 PM until Friday 7 PM. The list of species available for purchase will be different than what is available Saturday mornings. Pickup for online orders, is at the market from 9 AM to Noon ONLY.
By shopping the market, am I supporting local fishermen?
Tuna Harbor Dockside Market is a fishermen’s market. Created for the fishermen, by the fishermen. Every Saturday, you are supporting local fishing families.
What happens if my online order is not picked up?
All online orders that are not picked up between the hours of 9 AM to Noon (12 PM) will be donated to our first responders.
